In Harm’s Way

In Harm's Way

“In Harm’s Way”
23″ x 33″

“In Harms Way” reflects the rage and anguish I felt after the terrorists’ attack on the US on September 11, 2001. Whenever people are in harms way, from man or nature, I worry about the innocents hurt simply by being there.

This art quilt was included in “From the Heart; America in Mourning” exhibit in Houston, at the International Quilt Festival, and it has been published in a book by the same name.

This quilt expresses recognition of danger in this world; at the hands of terrorists, from hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes, tornados or other major natural or harmful human actions. The innocent family in the center of the piece are trying their best to protect each other. Do they succeed?
